2026 Young Scientist Assembly at IMC21 Liverpool
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the upcoming IFSM Young Scientist Assembly (+lien: https://www.imc21.org.uk/conference/young-scientist-assembly.html) taking place August 29-30th prior to IMC21 in Liverpool.
This is a great opportunity for our younger colleagues so we would be extremely grateful if you could help spread the word through your contacts in the regional societies.
Young Scientist Assembly at IMC21 Liverpool
The YSA brings together 50 early-career scientists recognized for their achievements and the quality of their IMC21 abstract submissions. The programme features round-table discussion with discipline leaders, and networking opportunities.
Benefits for Successful Applicants:
- Event Access: Attendance to the YSA/ECR dinner & excursion (Saturday, 29 August) and the full-day YSA meeting (Sunday, 30 August).
- Accommodation: One night’s accommodation, including breakfast, for Saturday, 29 August.
- Registration Support: Free registration (Early Bird fees) for the IMC21 meeting
- Congress Welcome: Attendance to the IMC21 Congress Welcome Reception on Sunday, 30 August.
Imaging Contest: The programme includes a prestigious imaging contest. Entries will be on display during the event, and the winning image will be published in the Journal of Microscopy.
Eligibility: This programme is open to all PhD students and researchers who have completed their degree within the five years prior to IMC21 (i.e. after August 2021). Please note that applicants must be the first author/presenter of an abstract accepted into the IMC21 Congress Programme to be eligible.
