Upon request of the organizers, the Board of EMS can grant patronage to a certain event under the strict conditions that<\/p><ul><li>the event is scientifically sound<\/li><li>the event has an internationally recognised scientific advisory board (ISAB) or organisation committee (OC)<\/li><li>the official event language is English (no other languages are permitted in any of the official scientific or technical presentations)<\/li><li>students receive a discount on the registration fee<\/li><\/ul><p>Moreover, the organizers should write a clear statement as to why they feel their event merits EMS patronage .<\/p><p>In general, there will be no financial contribution from EMS.<\/p><p>The EMS patronage will be announced in all communications by the event and on the event website, including a link to the EMS website. The following phrase will be used:<\/p><p><em>&#8220;Based on the scientific quality, educational merits, international dimension, and student support of the present event, EMS has granted patronage work on a not-for-profit basis. The goal of the meeting is to foster scientific exchanges, but also informal discussion and networking. To achieve this goal, the conference is spread over 5 consecutive days in quiet but beautiful location: \u201cLa Creole Beach Hotel &amp; Spa\u201d in the village of Le Gosier, Guadeloupe (French Caribbean). All participants encouraged to stay on-site for the full duration of the meeting, thereby also sharing meals and leisure time. In 2024, a spring school on the topic of Scanning Ion Conductance Microscopy (SICM) in bio-systems will run immediately before the conference at the same location. NANOinBIO is organized in conjunction with the local University (University of French West Indies, Pole Guadeloupe) and French government to encourage and support local research developments and early
