About the School
The Italian Society for Microscopical Sciences (SISM) and the National Research Council (CNR) are pleased to announce the 9th edition of the School of Transmission Electron Microscopy in Materials Science. The School will introduce students and researchers to the imaging and spectroscopy techniques related to Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
Lectures will cover the working principles of TEM instruments and detectors, the concepts of electron diffraction, coherent and incoherent imaging, as well as X-ray and Electron Energy-Loss spectroscopy, in-situ experimentation, image simulation and analysis. Practical sessions on SAED, CBED, HREM, HAADF-STEM, EELS and EDS will provide an immersive demonstration of TEM operation.
